Clinical Naturopath · Canberra, Australia & New Zealand

You know something is off.
Let's actually figure out why.

You've seen the doctors. You've had the tests. You've been told everything looks "normal." But you don't feel normal — and you never quite have. That gap is exactly where I work.

"Most of my clients have been searching for answers for years. My job is to help them stop guessing — and give them a plan built from the ground up for how their body actually works."

— Cassandra Hilton, Canberra

Science and nature,
working together

I'm Cassandra — a clinical naturopath, Western herbalist and nutritional medicine specialist based in Canberra. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), an Advanced Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine, three years of dedicated nutritional medicine studies and postgraduate training through ACNEM — with over a decade of clinical practice focused on women's health, skin, hormones and longevity.

My practice sits at the intersection of evidence-based medicine and the kind of deep listening that conventional medicine rarely has time for. I take your history seriously, read your existing pathology carefully, and look at how your genetics, gut health, hormones and environment are all interacting.

Where warranted, I use functional pathology and genetic testing to remove the guesswork entirely. Every treatment plan I build is specific to you — your physiology, your goals, your life.

An end-to-end approach
no one else offers.

As both a clinician and the founder of a cosmeceutical skincare brand, I can do something no aesthetician, GP, or other naturopath can: treat the skin comprehensively — from the inside and the outside, under one practitioner.

I
Diagnose the root cause

Full naturopathic assessment — health history, existing pathology, functional testing, genetics. We find what's actually driving the issue.

II
Treat from the inside

A personalised inner protocol — nutrition, herbal medicine, practitioner supplements — matched precisely to your biochemistry and goals.

III
Support from the outside

I prescribe Ocinium — the clinician-formulated skincare I created — as the topical component of your skin health plan. Every product chosen with clinical intent.

Ocinium Skincare

Why I formulated
my own skincare

After years of practice, I found I couldn't recommend many commercial skincare products to my clients with clinical confidence. Too many sensitising ingredients. Too many fillers. Too many formulations built around marketing rather than skin biology.

So I built Ocinium — a cosmeceutical skincare line founded on a single principle: give the skin exactly what it needs to function at its best, and nothing it doesn't. Every formula reflects the same evidence-based rigour I apply in the clinic.

For my clients, this closes the loop. After identifying what's driving your skin concerns internally, I can prescribe the precise topical formulations to support your skin externally. Inner and outer — working together by design.

What clients
actually experience

"I've battled an autoimmune condition for many years and the standard medical treatment just wasn't working. Cassandra reviewed my entire medical history, connected me to specialists and offered new solutions and alternatives to the traditional treatment. She taught me how to manage the condition through diet, nutritional supplementation and exercise. One of the most satisfying aspects of working with Cassandra is that she cares deeply for her clients and goes above and beyond."

— Carla C.

"After years of being told my results were normal, Cassandra finally found what was driving my hormonal issues. Within three months I felt like a different person. I only wish I'd found her sooner."

— Client, Canberra

"Cassandra's approach is unlike anything I'd experienced with conventional medicine. She actually listened, ran the right tests, and built a protocol that addressed everything at once. My skin, my energy and my cycle all improved within the first two months."

About Cassandra
& how this works

Where is Cassandra based and can I see her online?
Cassandra consults in-clinic in Canberra (Ngunnawal ACT, from October 2026) and via telehealth online across Australia and New Zealand. Online consultations cover everything an in-person appointment does — health history, pathology review, treatment planning and follow-up. All functional testing can be arranged remotely.
What qualifications does Cassandra hold?
Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), an Advanced Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine, and completed three years of dedicated nutritional medicine studies. She has pursued postgraduate training through the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) and the Mindd Foundation, and holds current accreditation with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). She has over a decade of clinical practice experience.
What is Cassandra's area of specialisation?
Cassandra's deepest clinical expertise is in women's health, skin conditions, hormonal medicine, gut health and longevity medicine. She is particularly known for her inside-out approach to skin — addressing the internal drivers of skin conditions (gut, hormones, nutrition, genetics) alongside prescribing Ocinium cosmeceutical skincare as the topical component. She also works extensively in anti-ageing and healthspan medicine, including biohacking protocol referrals — HBOT, red light therapy, traditional and infrared sauna, and cryotherapy for recovery and prevention — alongside nutritional medicine and mental wellness.
Does Cassandra work alongside GPs and specialists?
Yes. Naturopathic medicine works best alongside, not instead of, conventional medical care. Cassandra regularly collaborates with GPs, gynaecologists, dermatologists and other specialists — reviewing their pathology through a functional lens, running additional testing they may not order, and building treatment protocols that complement conventional care. She encourages clients to maintain their relationship with their GP.
How is Cassandra different from other naturopaths?
Several things distinguish Cassandra's practice. She holds dual qualifications in naturopathy and Western herbal medicine, with three years of additional nutritional medicine training — a deeper academic foundation than most practitioners. She uses functional pathology and genetic testing as clinical tools rather than relying on symptom-based assessment alone. And as the founder of Ocinium, she is the only naturopath in Australia who can prescribe both an internal naturopathic protocol and a clinician-formulated cosmeceutical skincare routine — both designed to work together.
How long does it take to see results?
This depends entirely on the complexity and duration of the presenting concern. Acute conditions often show meaningful improvement within four to eight weeks. Chronic hormonal, skin or gut conditions — particularly those that have been present for years — typically require three to six months of consistent treatment before sustained change is established. Cassandra sets realistic expectations at the first consultation and provides clear milestones so progress can be tracked.
What does a first consultation with Cassandra involve?
New clients begin with a 15-minute Discovery Call ($50 deposit, credited in full to your Consultation Package when you proceed), followed by an Initial Consultation of 60–90 minutes. The initial consultation covers a thorough health history, review of any existing pathology, discussion of symptoms, diet, lifestyle, stress and sleep, and identification of any functional testing warranted. By the end of the appointment you will have a clear picture of what is likely driving your concerns and a written treatment plan to take home.
Does private health insurance cover consultations with Cassandra?
Many Australian private health funds provide rebates for naturopathic consultations under the Extras component of your policy. Cassandra is an ATMS-accredited naturopath. From 1 July 2025, naturopathy was reinstated to private health cover — check with your fund for eligibility and rebate amounts before your appointment. Cliniko receipts are provided on request for rebate claims.
